The interesting fact about Hawaii is that there is so much to experience! For active travelers there are zip lines, paddle boarding, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, exploring volcanoes, marlin fishing, and wind surfing. Or for others maybe it's planning a tropical wedding in Hawaii or a family reunion, or perhaps just chilling and relaxing in a condo with a great ocean view. There is always something for everyone in Hawaii. Perhaps the busy pace of Waikiki and shopping is a favorite idea along with a trip to see Pearl Harbor. Or in contrast, traversing some of the rugged cliffs of Kauai with a picnic after the 22 mile hike. Maui continues to be the most popular island with its many beaches. Want to easily snorkel? Go to Kapalua Beach and turn in right after Napili Kai. Or go to Ulua near the rocks. If you travel to the Big Island it is the largest island with 29 dive sites on the Kona Coast and a spectacular live volcano. Two hours drive from Kona or 45 minutes from Hilo, this Kilauea volcano is amazing with puffs of steam and nasty smells emanating from it. You can walk along several easy trails that are safe and interesting, enter the Thurston Lava Tube and its rain forest, or take the 11 mile crater rim drive. Compared to the coastline it can be chilly at 8,000 feet. Bring your windbreaker.
